CORFU. The Association is demanding that all the MPs in the region, the regional and local authorities and all other bodies take a stand.
Corfu Trade Association has come out in support of the justified concerns of Corfu Ambulance Service (EKAB) Employees Union with regard to the ambulance which has been stationed at Corfu Airport for years and which was donated to the 7th EKAB Region on 19 October by the Civil Aviation Authority and the airport and maintain that the ambulance should remain in Corfu.
Statement from the Trade Association:
"Our support for Corfu Ambulance Service Employees Union goes without saying with regard to paramedics' justified claim that the ambulance needs to stay in Corfu and not go elsewhere.
"Even at this stage we ask that all the MPs in the region, the regional and local authorities and all other bodies take a stand and demand a new contract with a specialised service and repair unit in Corfu so that our ambulances don't have to go to Ioannina where we have a contract for the repair of the vehicles at the moment."
