€211,000 to upgrade Central Corfu children’s playgrounds

CORFU. Contract signed to upgrade the children’s playgrounds in Karteria, Kompitsi, Potamos, Sokraki and the Old Port.
The Central Corfu Municipality signed a contract with the contracting company to upgrade the children’s playgrounds in Central Corfu with a budget of €211,155.
The project includes the installation of playground equipment and street furniture to upgrade the playgrounds in Karteria, Kompitsi, Potamos, Sokraki and the Old Port.
Adult gymnastics apparatus will also be installed in three other areas within the Municipality for the improvement of the residents' daily life.
The project is funded by the Green Fund (€200,384) and the Municipality’s resources and it has to be completed within 9 months since the signing of the contract.
Following the signing of the contract, Mayor Meropi Ydraiou stated the following: “Remaining true to our commitments, we continue to support children and parents by upgrading the playgrounds in Corfu Town and the rest of the Municipality”.
