Alevropari wildfire under control

CORFU. Firefighters managed to stop the fire spreading last night.
The fire was first spotted at around 15:00 yesterday near Klisoures in Alevropari, South Corfu.
20 firefighters on land, 8 fire engines, 4 aircraft and one helicopter as well as water trucks from the Civil Protection service were sent to fight the fire.
At around 22:00 last night firefighters were able to partially contain the fire and a short while later got it under complete control. Forest and grassland were burnt and an announcement is expected from the Fire Department with the extent of damage done.
