CORFU. Adults and children with special needs visited the Archaeological Museum – Guided tours for primary and secondary school pupils.
The Corfu Inspectorate of Antiquities organised educational activities as part of the International Museum Day, which took place on Wednesday morning, 18 May 2022, at the Corfu Archaeological Museum. This year the theme is "The Power of Museums". The public showed great interest and there was a large turnout.

Pupils of the Corfu 1st Special Primary School, pupils of Corfu Primary and Secondary schools, as well as members of the Corfu Blind Association, visited the Museum's permanent exhibition under the guidance of archaeologists and had the opportunity to touch selected authentic findings of the exhibition and copies of the exhibits, as well as to read the accompanying material in Braille.

At the event the Deputy Governor for Public Health and Welfare Melita Andrioti, the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Deputy Mayor for Social Welfare Andreas Skoupouras and the Corfu Blind Association President Yiannis Mavropoulos gave a welcome address.
Guided tours for school groups were also held on 19 and 20 May.
