ATHENS. EODY announced 2,235 laboratory confirmed new cases on Monday 23 May - including 26 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,235 confirmed new cases today. The total number of cases in Greece is now 3,422,233, of which 48.8% are males.
The number of probable reinfections over the last 24 hours is 258 and the total number of reinfections since the beginning of the pandemic is estimated at 132,244 (3.7% of the total number of positive cases).
There were 21 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 29,711. 95.6% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
151 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 71 and 92.7% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,666 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 84 (+15.07%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 97.
