ATHENS. EODY announced 3,424 laboratory confirmed new cases on Saturday 21 May - including 48 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 3,424 confirmed new cases today. The total number of cases in Greece is now 3,417,613, of which 48.8% are males.
The number of probable reinfections over the last 24 hours is 350 and the total number of reinfections since the beginning of the pandemic is estimated at 131,725 (3.7% of the total number of positive cases).
There were 21 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 29,679. 95.6% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
156 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 72 and 92.9% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,664 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 83 (-22.43%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 101.
