Contract signed for roadworks in Mega Ydri in Sidari

The North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris signed the contract for the maintenance and repair of the main road in Mega Ydri on Wednesday 18 May, in the presence of the North Corfu Deputy Mayor for Works Haritonas Koutsouris.
 
The North Corfu Mayor Giorgos Mahimaris said that “the signing of this contract is important for the North Corfu Municipality, as it concerns the upgrading, maintenance and restoration of the main Mega Ydri road in Sidari. The modernisation and safety of North Corfu Municipality's road network is a high priority, which is why we are investing in this direction.”
 
He pointed out that “this project is being carried out after many years of inactivity, despite the extremely unfavourable environment with the economic, health and energy crisis on the one hand and the slow bureaucratic procedures on the other hand. The latter is an obstacle to development, since a project has to go through many procedures before it can begin. Such an example was the wall in Nymphes, which took 2 years and 35 stages until the contract was signed.
