German tourist, 19, killed in road accident in Potamos

CORFU. The young man΄s motorcycle veered off course and collided with another motorcycle. He succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Another young person has lost his life in a road accident. The victim was a 19-year-old German tourist, who was involved in a fatal collision during the early hours of this morning.
The accident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. in the Asyrmatos area of Potamos. According to reports, the motorcycle ridden by the 19-year-old veered off course under circumstances that have not yet been determined. It then crossed into the opposite lane and collided with another passing motorcycle.
An ambulance arrived at the scene immediately. Paramedics found the young rider critically injured and took him to Corfu General Hospital. Despite the doctors' exhaustive efforts to save his life, the 19-year-old later succumbed to his severe injuries.
The exact cause of the tragic crash and the circumstances surrounding it remain under investigation by the Corfu Traffic Police, who responded to the scene from the outset and have launched a preliminary inquiry.
