Greek Open Croquet Tournament at Gouvia Marina

CORFU. The 5th GC Tournament is being held at Gouvia Marina this week.
The Greek Open Croquet Tournament is taking place at Gouvia Marina this week. It began on Tuesday 3rd May and finishes with a Gala Dinner on Wednesday 11th. This is the fifth GC Tournament, although it wasn’t held over the last two years due to the Covid pandemic.
There are 27 players from the UK taking part in the Singles and Doubles Tournaments along with seven local Corfu Croquet Club members. The Singles quarter-finals were held today, with the semi-finals on Monday and finals on Wednesday 11th - play starts at 10 a.m. if anyone wants to go along to watch. On Saturday there was a Home and Away Tournament with 23 club members pairing up with UK players.
Players are staying at the Kontokali Bay Hotel, which is within easy walking distance from the lawns at Gouvia Marina. Prizes will be awarded at the Gala Dinner on Wednesday 11th at the Sailing Club in the Old Fort.
