Results of Central Corfu Municipality’s advertising campaign during Easter

CORFU. The island’s promotion on social media and websites.
The Central Corfu Municipality and the Tourism Department presented the results of the digital promotion of the Corfu Easter both in Greece and abroad.
More specifically, along with the successful management of the Easter in general, the promotion of the destination and the events that occured on social media and websites was the biggest advertising for the island, coinciding with the start of the tourist season.
During Easter holidays alone, more than 30 posts had been made on social media (with live broadcasts, photos and impressive aerial photos and videos), which had been viewed by 3,500,000 people and received tens of thousands of likes, while the event of the dance groups on May Day had been viewed by more than 1,200,000 people and received more than 35,000 likes and 4,500 shares, reminding us that people are interested in our cultural events.
This way, the Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Municipality achieved the greatest and highest quality promotion of the island on social media. It, also, uploaded the programme of the Easter events, as well as other useful information (parking, other events, villages, etc.), to its websites and social media (corfu.gr, visit.Corfu.gr, Corfu page and the ''Corfu Tourism'' YouTube channel), which people could access through special QR codes. Thus, more than 10,000 visitors entered and navigated digitally.
The Deputy Mayor for Tourism Panayiotis Varouchas thanked all the bodies for their excellent cooperation and support, as well as the Municipality's Public Relations Department and all those who worked in order to achieve this goal. He, finally, pointed out that they will continue the effort to improve the Corfu's image and promote the island using all modern means.
