International arrivals at Corfu Airport similar to 2019 levels

As the end of April approaches, the number of international flight arrivals is similar to that of 2019 with approximately 460 arrivals from abroad and the UK at the top of the list again, followed by Germany, Italy, France and Poland.

According to the President of Corfu Civil Aviation Employees Union Dimitris Roussos, there were 430 arrivals in the same month in 2019. The majority of the flights arriving this month have been over 75% full.

Of particular note is the increase in the number of flights from Italy, mainly due to low-cost airlines. The number of flights from France increased in the second half of April, putting them in fourth place ahead of Poland.

Sunday has become the busiest day instead of Saturday, mainly due to the arrival and departure of passengers on German cruises, which use Corfu as a home port on that day.

Scheduled flights for May are also at a similar level to the same month in 2019 (1,100 arrivals) with 1,097 international flights scheduled to arrive at Corfu Airport. Towards the end of the month the average number of daily flights will be over 50.
