Central Corfu Municipality asks Ikos Odisia to restore Dasia beach

CORFU. Unanimous decision of the Central Corfu Municipal Finance Committee following an inspection of the Planning Department.
The Central Corfu Municipal Land Planning Department team, headed by Deputy Mayor Dimitris Katehis, who did an inspection in the area following a complaint, found that the terms of the Finance Committee’s initial approval regarding the execution of work on Dassia beach had been violated.
The Finance Committee is unanimously asking the company to repair, as soon as possible, any damage it has caused.
The decision was voted unanimously with only the members of Mrs. Ydraiou’s party present. The Finance Committee is asking the company to repair within 15 days any damage in the shoreline that violates the terms of the cleaning of the beach and parts of the seabed in front of the under construction Ikos Odisia Hotel.
The initial decision
It is worth noting that the Finance Committee had approved on 4 February 2022 the carrying out of cleaning work, exceptionally at the expense of the company, since the respective Municipality is usually responsible for it.
There had been a previous request by the Ikos Odisia company to the Central Corfu Municipal Finance Committee for the approval of a donation of service in order to proceed with its own costs to the immediate cleaning of the beach and parts of the seabed in front of the hotel (Ipsos – Dassia beach).
The video of the ’Prota i Kerkyra’ leader Giorgos Kaloudis, as well as the data published, evolved into lawsuits from both sides and caused the Finance Committee’s emergency meeting for decision-making.
