Dassia beach: Angry protests from local residents

Yesterday, the Association for the Protection and Promotion of Dassia held a demonstration with banners and messages such as "Stop the destruction of Dassia" and "Dassia beach belongs to the people," gathering in protest on the beach where the hotel company Ikos is carrying out development work. In addition to local residents, attendees included political candidates such as Maria Dri from the PASOK party and Maria Gonidi Drazinou from the SYRIZA party, Lina Roussou, an active member of the "Friends of Vido" and "Protection of South Corfu Natura" associations and environmentalist Kostas Kaloudis, among others.
