ATHENS. EODY announced 23,106 laboratory confirmed new cases on Wednesday 23 March - including 240 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 23,106 confirmed new cases today. 20 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 2,861,993, of which 49.2% are males. Over the last 7 days, 158 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,385 are connected with known cases.
There were 53 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 27,083. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
338 patients are intubated in ICUs. 210 (62.13%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 128 (37.87%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 70 and 90.8% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,414 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 434 (+29.94%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 355.
