ATHENS. EODY announced 12,462 laboratory confirmed new cases on Sunday 20 March - including 149 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 12,462 confirmed new cases today. 24 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 2,788,654, of which 49.3% are males. Over the last 7 days, 177 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,685 are connected with known cases.
There were 44 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 26,937. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
346 patients are intubated in ICUs. 218 (63.01%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 128 (36.99%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 69 and 90.8% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,396 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 346 (-6.99%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 328.
