ATHENS. EODY announced 23,621 laboratory confirmed new cases on Friday 18 March - including 236 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 23,621 confirmed new cases today. 10 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 2,756,487, of which 49.3% are males. Over the last 7 days, 196 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,802 are connected with known cases.
There were 55 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 26,847. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
354 patients are intubated in ICUs. 228 (64.41%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 126 (35.59%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 69 and 90.4% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,384 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 359 (+6.21%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 306.
