ATHENS. EODY announced 24,256 laboratory confirmed new cases on Thursday 17 March - including 262 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 24,256 confirmed new cases today. 22 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 2,732,866, of which 49.3% are males. Over the last 7 days, 211 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,675 are connected with known cases.
There were 59 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 26,792. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
348 patients are intubated in ICUs. 224 (64.37%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 124 (35.63%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 69 and 90.2% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,381 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 338 (-2.03%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 300.
