ATHENS. EODY announced 16,274 laboratory confirmed new cases on Monday 28 February - including 118 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 16,274 confirmed new cases today. 36 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 2,421,664, of which 49.5% are males. Over the last 7 days, 263 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,960 are connected with known cases.
There were 70 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 25,860. 95.1% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
413 patients are intubated in ICUs. 295 (71.43%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 118 (28.57%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 67 and 89.3% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,262 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 279 (-3.46%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 312.
