Union of Tourist Guides gives free guided tour of Corfu Town historic centre

CORFU. For International Tourist Guides Day on Monday 21 February, the guides gave a free guided tour of the historic centre.
After a two-year gap, due to the pandemic, the Ionian Islands & Western Greece Union of Tourist Guides organised a free guided tour on the occasion of International Tourist Guides Day.
The following also took part in the tour: Regional Governor Rodi Kratsa, Central Corfu Deputy Mayor for Tourism Panayiotis Varouchas, the President of Corfu Hotel Employees Union Stamatis Pelais and Sophia Karabella from the Ionian University Department of Tourism.
Central Corfu Mayor Meropi Ydraiou and Corfu Trade Association President Ioannis Allegris sent messages of support.
Students from the Ionian University and Corfu School of Tourist Guides along with local residents were taken on the guided tour of the historic centre enjoying a pleasant and constructive walk through the local history and culture.
