ATHENS. EODY announced 22,362 laboratory confirmed new cases on Friday 28 January - including 231 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 22,362 confirmed new cases today. 84 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 1,890,296, of which 49.8% are males. Over the last 7 days, 425 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,220 are connected with known cases.
There were 107 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 23,195. 95% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
605 patients are intubated in ICUs. 483 (79.83%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 122 (20.17%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 66 and 83.8% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 4,015 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 472 (+13.73%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 449.
