4th High School to start operating in new school year

CORFU. The project is 95% complete and the contractor assured that it will be completed in three months.

The Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou and the Deputy Mayor for Technical Works Nikos Kalogeros, along with representatives of the 15-member pupils' council, the School Committee, the Parents and Guardians Association, the school’s Director and officials, visited on Tuesday morning the 4th High School, in order to be informed of the works’ progress.
 
The contractor showed them the whole school building and talked about the works' schedule.
 
The Mayor announced that the work in the classrooms has been completed and the electromechanical equipment and the fire protection system have been installed.
 
The project is 95% complete and the contractor assured that the project will be completed in three months, despite the many difficulties it faced since it started.
 
This visit took place because the Deputy Mayor for Technical Services promised to provide to the Town Council an update on the progress of the work and it will be repeated in three months, when the project will be completed.
 
The Mayor assured the students that the 4th High School will start operating as normal from the new school year.
