ATHENS. EODY announced 17,409 laboratory confirmed new cases on Tuesday 25 January - including 249 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 17,409 confirmed new cases today. 55 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 1,830,263, of which 49.8% are males. Over the last 7 days, 401 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,750 are connected with known cases.
There were 98 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 22,852. 95% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
653 patients are intubated in ICUs. 525 (80.4%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 128 (19.6%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 66 and 83% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,986 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 432 (-7.1%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 484.
