ATHENS. EODY announced 20,507 laboratory confirmed new cases on Friday 21 January - including 198 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 20,507 confirmed new cases today. 59 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 1,762,870, of which 49.8% are males. Over the last 7 days, 433 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 2,643 are connected with known cases.
There were 108 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 22,476. 95.0% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
679 patients are intubated in ICUs. 548 (80.71%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 131 (19.29%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 66 and 81.3% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,964 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 467 (-7.71%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 512.
