EODY reports 170 new cases of Covid-19 in Corfu today - 9 January

ATHENS. EODY announced 18,592 laboratory confirmed new cases on Sunday 9 January - including 170 in Corfu.

EODY announced that there were 18,592 confirmed new cases today. 97 cases were detected at entry points.
 
The total number of cases in Greece is now 1,507,616, of which 50% are males. Over the last 7 days, 588 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,767 are connected with known cases.
 
There were 66 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 21,394. 95.1% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
 
642 patients are intubated in ICUs. 545 (84.89%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 97 (15.11%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 64 and 80.5% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,822 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
 
The number of new hospital admissions is 632 (+21.07%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 556.
