ATHENS. EODY announced 40,560 laboratory confirmed new cases on Friday 31 December - including 149 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 40,560 confirmed new cases today. 32 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 1,210,853, of which 50.3% are males. Over the last 7 days, 231 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,386 are connected with known cases.
There were 76 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 20,790. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
627 patients are intubated in ICUs. 541 (86.28%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 86 (13.72%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 64 and 79.7% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,759 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 439 (+4.28%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 359.
