ATHENS. EODY announced 28,828 laboratory confirmed new cases on Wednesday 29 December - including 146 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 28,828 confirmed new cases today. 19 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 1,134,713, of which 50.4% are males. Over the last 7 days, 215 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,488 are connected with known cases.
There were 72 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 20,636. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
620 patients are intubated in ICUs. 529 (85.32%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 91 (14.68%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 63 and 80.2% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,745 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 413 (+21.47%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 330.
