Another 35 pupils and 2 teachers test positive for Covid

CORFU. A significant increase again in Covid cases at Corfu schools.
According to the Ionian Islands Regional Education Department, 35 pupils and 2 teachers have tested positive for Covid-19 - 21 primary school pupils and one teacher as well as 14 secondary school pupils and one teacher.
This week has begun with a record high number of infections at primary schools. Class 1 in the 4th Year of Meliteon Primary School in Vraganiotika still remains suspended as 8 out of the 14 pupils have Covid. The pupils will resume lessons in the new year as the end of the quarantine period is on Christmas Eve.
No other classes in Corfu have been suspended.
