ATHENS. EODY announced 4,766 laboratory confirmed new cases on Friday 17 December - including 65 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 4,766 confirmed new cases today. 16 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 1,026,902, of which 50.5% are males. Over the last 7 days, 178 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,087 are connected with known cases.
There were 85 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 19,736. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
684 patients are intubated in ICUs. 565 (82.6%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 119 (17.4%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 64 and 81.0% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,656 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 319 (-19.85%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 355.
