ATHENS. EODY announced 4,696 laboratory confirmed new cases on Thursday 16 December - including 83 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 4,696 confirmed new cases today. 10 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 1,022,141, of which 50.5% are males. Over the last 7 days, 151 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,116 are connected with known cases.
There were 96 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 19,651. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
692 patients are intubated in ICUs. 570 (82.37%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 122 (17.63%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 64 and 81.2% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,645 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 398 (+12.75%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 364.
