ATHENS. EODY announced 5,523 laboratory confirmed new cases on Thursday 9 December - including 80 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 5,523 confirmed new cases today. 2 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 989,814, of which 50.5% are males. Over the last 7 days, 90 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 2,650 are connected with known cases.
There were 81 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 18,982. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
708 patients are intubated in ICUs. 571 (80.65%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 137 (19.35%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 64 and 79.9% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,588 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 429 (-4.45%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 424.
