CORFU. Inspired by the rhythm of life on our island, they created modern and authentic businesses, carving their own stamp on the island.
The Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands Mayor expressed her support for Corfu Design Route’s successful effort in a meeting today with its members. The Corfu Design Route is a group of people who have chosen Corfu not only as a place of residence, but also as a place of inspiration and unique businesses characterised by originality, creativity and the use of modern ways of promotion and management, with excellent results.
As they told the Mayor, they operate behind the main sites of Corfu, away from the bustle of the main streets of the town, in between alleyways or less visited villages. Inspired by the rhythm of life on our island, they have created modern and authentic businesses, carving their own stamp on the island. These are businesses that are guided by the intangible culture of the island and they innovate and create. Another thing they have in common is that they produce quality products, make use of modern ways of advertising and management and, thus, they successfully enter the global market.
As it was pointed out at the meeting, Corfu is emerging through these businesses as a creative hub tying the Adriatic and the Ionian Sea. Mayor Meropi Ydraiou expressed her satisfaction for meeting with the representatives of these start-up and original businesses and expressed her own and the Municipality’s support in such activities that, in addition to their commercial character, they also promote Corfu worldwide through the qualitative aesthetics of their products.
