Another 18 pupils test positive for Covid-19

According to the Ionian Islands Regional Education Department, a total of 18 pupils have tested positive for Covid-19 - 4 primary school pupils and 14 secondary school pupils. No teachers tested positive today.

Since the beginning of this week, there has been a total of 85 positive cases - 36 primary school pupils and 49 secondary school pupils. There were just two teachers who tested positive this week and the numbers remain low as the majority of teachers have been vaccinated.

Despite the fact that there are daily cases, no classes have been suspended up to now as the protocol calls for 50% of a class plus 1 to test positive before a class is closed.
