Another 27 pupils and 2 teachers test positive for Covid-19

CORFU. The number of positive Covid cases amongst Corfu school pupils continues to increase.
According to the Ionian Islands Regional Education Department, a total of 27 pupils and 2 teachers have tested positive for Covid-19 - 19 primary school pupils and one teacher and 8 secondary school pupils plus one teacher and one non-teaching employee.
Up to now, no classes have closed as the protocol is that 50% plus one need to have tested positive before a class is suspended.
It is worth noting that since the end of last week, the number of daily cases at Corfu schools has been over 20.
