CORFU. Three foreign nationals were arrested by Paleokastritsa police on Friday morning for the destructive cutting down of olive trees.
Following up on reports received, the police along with officials from the Regional Agricultural Economy Administration confirmed that three foreign nationals had cut down 16 olive trees destructively - from the base - in private land in northwest Corfu.
The Corfu owner of the land has also been charged and is being sought.
Paleokastritsa Police carried out the initial questioning.
