CORFU. All school pupils will be able to obtain five free self tests from pharmacies between Monday 1 and Saturday 6 November.
These self tests will cover their needs according to regulations for the period 5-22 November.
- Self tests should be taken up to 24 hours before going to school every Tuesday and Friday.
- Covid self tests are mandatory for school pupils.
- Pupils who don't have a vaccination certificate (aged 12 and over) or a recovery certificate from the previous 6 months must show a negative self test result.
- Pupils who have been vaccinated are not entitled to free self tests unless there is a special reason - e.g. a fellow pupil has tested positive.
- Free self tests are only available at pharmacies during normal working days and hours so that those open at other hours can deal with emergencies.
From 1 November, registration submission of results from state schools will be done on the new platform edupass.gov.gr (not on self-testing.gov.gr), which will issue the Covid-19 School Card.
At the moment, this platform is just for state schools. Parents and guardians of pupils at private schools will continue to submit self test results on self-testing.gov.gr, which will issue the Covid-19 School Card, following the same procedure as up to now.
Parents of pupils aged 12 and over who haven't been vaccinated are encouraged to have them vaccinated in order to create a greater defence against Covid-19.
