ATHENS. EODY announced 1,712 laboratory confirmed new cases on Sunday 17 October - including 7 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 1,712 confirmed new cases today. 8 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 693,886, of which 50.8% are males. Over the last 7 days, 114 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 2,221 are connected with known cases.
There were 27 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 15,375. 95.4% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
357 patients are intubated in ICUs. 314 (87.96%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 43 (12.04%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 66 and 81.2% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,243 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 192 (-8.57%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 200.
