Rou Estate in Sinies cut off due to rockfall

CORFU. North Corfu Civil Protection Service have cleared up two landslips in Karousades.
The Rou Estate in Sinies remains cut off due to a rockfall on the road leading to the area. There has also been subsidence in a section of the road.
Deputy Mayor for Civil Protection Mr. Skembris has gone to the area along with Deputy Mayors for Works, Development & Energy and Everday Life Koutsouris and Mouzakitis. They are inspecting the damage and municipal vehicles and machinery will clear it up.
There are approximately 150 people staying at the Rou Estate at the moment. Earlier today, a North Corfu Municipal crew cleared up two landslips in Karousades caused by last night's storm.
Mr. Skembris told Enimerosi that a fire engine will be arriving shortly to clean the road.
