ATHENS. EODY announced 2,197 laboratory confirmed new cases on Saturday 9 October - including 17 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,197 confirmed new cases today. 5 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 675,479, of which 50.9% are males. Over the last 7 days, 115 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,445 are connected with known cases.
There were 36 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 15,105. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
331 patients are intubated in ICUs. 287 (86.71%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 44 (13.29%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 67 and 81.6% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,209 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 178 (-3.78%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 173.
