ATHENS. EODY announced 2,324 laboratory confirmed new cases on Friday 8 October - including 21 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,324 confirmed new cases today. 5 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 673,317, of which 50.9% are males. Over the last 7 days, 119 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,287 are connected with known cases.
There were 22 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 15,069. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
334 patients are intubated in ICUs. 288 (86.23%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 46 (13.77%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 67 and 80.5% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,202 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 185 (-10.19%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 169.
