Sit-ins continue at 4 Corfu schools

CORFU. The sit-in is continuing for the 10th day at Corfu 2nd Vocational High School and the 1st Vocational High once again began a sit-in along with the 5th High School, which is in the same building. Pupils at the 1st Vocational School also began a sit-in.
According to Corfu Secondary Education Department, sit-ins are being held at four schools. The sit-in is continuing for the 10th day at Corfu 2nd Vocational High School and the 1st Vocational High once again began a sit-in along with the 5th High School, which is in the same building. Pupils at the 1st Vocational School also began a sit-in.
According to the Ionian Islands Regional Education Department, cleaning work and the recording of damage done are continuing for the second day at the 1st and 2nd High Schools following the end of the sit-ins there.
The 15-member pupils' council at Corfu Evening High School is calling on pupils to absent themselves from both in-person and online lessons in support of Corfu 3rd High School, which shares the same building.
The pupils' council issued the following statement:
"Over the last week several high schools have held sit-ins. One of these is the 3rd High School, which shares a building with us. Having been in contact with them and heard their demands, we have decided to support their just cause by absenting ourselves from in-person and online lessons until the end of the sit-ins.
We demand:
- Abolition of minimum pass marks for university entrance
- Less pupils in classrooms
- Upgrading of the school facilities"
