Sit-ins at two Ionian University departments
CORFU. All the school sit-ins have ended and classes are being conducted normally.
The two departments of the Ionian University housed in the former Psychiatric Hospital, namely the Department of Audiovisual Arts and the Department of Informatics, have been occupied since this morning in protest against the establishment of non-state universities.
The Administration has already been in contact with the Heads of the Departments to discuss how to hold exams in these departments and finding alternative spaces.
The Senate, which is scheduled to meet on Tuesday morning, will have to decide on the issue of conducting the exams digitally.
The exams in all departments of the Ionian University are scheduled to be completed by the end of the week and have so far proceeded without problems, unlike other universities in the country due to the sit-ins.
In the meantime, the sit-ins in all schools have ended and they are operating normally as of today.
