ATHENS. EODY announced 2,187 laboratory confirmed new cases on Wednesday 29 September - including 19 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,187 confirmed new cases today. 7 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 653,535, of which 50.9% are males. Over the last 7 days, 77 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,183 are connected with known cases.
There were 44 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 14,795. 95.4% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
323 patients are intubated in ICUs. 292 (90.4%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 31 (9.6%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 66 and 80.5% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,152 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 206 (+42.07%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 178.
