ATHENS. EODY announced 2,978 laboratory confirmed new cases on Tuesday 28 September - including 38 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,978 confirmed new cases today. 7 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 651,378, of which 50.9% are males. Over the last 7 days, 86 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,223 are connected with known cases.
There were 22 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 14,751. 95.4% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
322 patients are intubated in ICUs. 291 (90.37%) of intubated patients are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, 31 (9.63%) are completely vaccinated. The average age is 66 and 82.3% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 3,141 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 145 (-13.69%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 181.
