Along with the Mayors of North and South Corfu, the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor welcomed a group of 17 Czech travel agents on Friday to brief them and promote Corfu as a tourist destination. The agents are on a 5-day fam trip to the island organised by the tourist organisation Fischer & Exim, which is part of Der Touristik Group.

They were officially welcomed by the local authority representatives, who gave them all the information they requested about the island.

All travel agents and others interested in the island can now get all the information they need about Corfu via QR codes which take them directly to the official tourist site and social media of the destination.

The meeting took place in the People's Garden with the three mayors along with the deputy mayor for Tourism, the director of DTS N. Aspiotis, the director for the product market N. Papadakis and product director Ms. J. Kasanicka.
