ATHENS. EODY announced 1,582 laboratory confirmed new cases on Sunday 29 August - including 31 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 1,582 confirmed new cases today. 15 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 581,315, of which 51.1% are males. Over the last 7 days, 218 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,643 are connected with known cases.
There were 37 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 13,636. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
334 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 64 and 83.5% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,962 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 282 (+1.08%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 270.
