ATHENS. EODY announced 3,064 laboratory confirmed new cases on Saturday 28 August - including 68 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 3,064 confirmed new cases today. 28 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 579,734, of which 51.1% are males. Over the last 7 days, 219 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,796 are connected with known cases.
There were 35 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 13,599. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
333 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 64 and 84.1% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,960 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 279 (+12.5%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 263.
