ATHENS. EODY announced 3,538 laboratory confirmed new cases on Thursday 26 August - including 52 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 3,538 confirmed new cases today. 29 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 573,605, of which 51.1% are males. Over the last 7 days, 216 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,845 are connected with known cases.
There were 28 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 13,539. 95.3% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
336 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 64 and 83.6% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,943 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 265 (+2.32%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 266.
