ATHENS. EODY announced 3,442 laboratory confirmed new cases on Wednesday 18 August - including 48 in Corfu
EODY announced that there were 3,442 confirmed new cases today. 14 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 547,186, of which 51.2% are males. Over the last 7 days, 130 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,492 are connected with known cases.
There were 25 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 13,278. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
282 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 64 and 84% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,889 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 290 (+33.03%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 240.
