ATHENS. EODY announced 4,206 laboratory confirmed new cases on Tuesday 17 August - including 66 in Corfu
EODY announced that there were 4,206 confirmed new cases today. 21 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 543,749, of which 51.2% are males. Over the last 7 days, 135 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 1,524 are connected with known cases.
There were 16 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 13,253. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
258 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 64 and 84.9% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,885 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 218 (-2.68%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 234.
