ATHENS. EODY announced 2,595 laboratory confirmed new cases on Monday 9 August - including 44 in Corfu.
EODY announced that there were 2,595 confirmed new cases today. 9 cases were detected at entry points.
The total number of cases in Greece is now 516,785, of which 51.2% are males. Over the last 7 days, 116 of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 2,389 are connected with known cases.
There were 20 deaths today taking the total number of fatalities to 13,097. 95.2% of these had underlying health conditions or were over 70.
207 patients are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 65 and 83.6% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 2,842 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
The number of new hospital admissions is 212 (+1.44%) and the average number of admissions throughout the country over the last 7 days is 197.
